Triple clamps with adjustable off set

To be able to exit corners with more gas, it´s been recommended to me to change the offset from standard 36 mm to 30 mm (distance from fork stem center  to fork legs center). The price to pay is less stability when braking.

The IMA kit I bought from NFRacing.se is adjustable from 25 mm to 31, but if you go below 28 mm the oil cooler and radiator must be relocated. I followed advice from experienced people and started with 30 mm offset. Great build quality and high attention to detail from IMA. A pleasure to work with
I replaced the ball bearings with more durable tapered roller bearings, which Ducati used to have (748, 916, 998), but seems to be changed on more recent bikes (cost reasons?)

Summary of 2012 season

A nice year in my “new” racing career, meaning mostly track days and the odd club race organized by the Nordic Ducati clubs. Having 2 small kids doesn’t really give you much time for racing and practice. Since I was the director of the Swedish leg of the races, I could only participate in the Norwegian event, which turned into a 29 bike grid – awesome! I qualified 10th of 29 and ended up in 10th place in the first race and 11th in the second. It was great fun battling with Swedish and Norwegian friends.

Sharing tent in the pit area with good friend Magnus Hallberg and our families made racing in Norway extra pleasant

A total of 8 days on tracks, 2 races and approx 1520 kilometers of high speed riding without falling. Riding to slow, I guess :-)

Lightweight battery

The battery was getting old and I know that NFR (nfracing.se) sells a Shorai lightweight battery at a good price. Installed it and it is amazing how much lighter the Shorai battery is. 1 kg compared to 4.5 for the standard one. (Approx 2 pounds compared to 9 pounds)
You just have to make sure you have the charger connected while not using the bike, since the Shorai is sensitive to discharging

Racing gadgets

Starter and kill switch from Tecno Cable (sold by Kaemna.de) replacing the stock unit on the right hand side handlebar. This one is made out of alloy and will (hopefully) survive a crash better and anyways be less expensive to replace. Looks cool too...
